☎️ Book a Phone Interview
Once you've filled out the "preferences" section, take the next step by booking a phone interview with one of our recruiters. We want to know more about you! We'll discuss your journey thus far in education and what your goals are, what your ideal role looks like, and your motivation to work in education.
In addition, you will get insights into your local job market from our regional specialist, as well as help finding the best available jobs for you, and support on your next steps towards the classroom.
By the end of the call, if both your recruiter and you feel this is a good fit, we'll move forward to completing the steps of verification.
Complete Your Profile
To make your profile stand out, add the key details that highlight your experience in education.

- Add your work history. You can either upload your resume or manually enter your work history.
- Tell us about yourself. Stand out to schools by providing an engaging summary.
- Add a profile photo. Upload a clear and professional profile photo to identify yourself to schools.
Upload Your Documents
Throughout the verification process, upload the relevant documents to your profile. Depending on which region you are working in and the role you are applying to, the required documents will vary.

Preparing References
Part of the process that can take up quite a bit of time is getting in touch with referees. As soon as your phone interview is completed, your recruiter will ask for references. Please have 2 references prepared for employee verification. Your references should apply to the following:
- From a previous work experience within the last 5 years
- Contact information includes an email with a business or educational domain
- A direct supervisor
If you cannot provide a reference with these qualities, you will be asked to provide additional references for verification.
When providing your reference, please notify the referee that we will be reaching out. If possible, please confirm the best time to get in touch with the referee. We will do our best to get in touch with them during those times to ensure we're able to connect.
Upload your references directly on the Zen Educate platform.

🪪 Document Verification Call
The next, and very important step towards verification is providing documentation for review. Before the end of your phone interview, your recruiter will schedule a follow-up document video call on Google Meet through Calendly. This session will be focused on reviewing your required I-9 documents and completing your I-9 form for employment verification during your call.
How to prepare for your call:
- Please have the following documents prepared for your document verification call:
- Proof of identification - examples include: providing a passport/passport card alone, or a combination of your SSC and ID/Driver's License
- Please also see other accepted forms of identification here: i-9 Acceptable Documents
- Clear photos or scans of both sides of the documents must be uploaded before the documentation call. The documents must also be present during the documentation call for verification.
- Please be in a well-lit and quiet area with a stable connection.
✅ Ready for Verification
Once all of your profile is completed and your required documents have been uploaded, your profile will be ready to submit for verification. Our compliance team will review all of the material you have provided, which can take 1-2 business days. Once verification is complete and your profile has been approved, you're ready to work with Zen Educate!
Your recruiter will call you with the good news and book you in for a Job Placement call with one of our account managers. This session will be focused on reviewing job opportunities and outlining the next steps to get placed in work. It will also be a time to provide you with general information on direct deposit, booking your first day, providing relevant contact information, as well as answering any questions you may have.
