Arizona: πŸ“š Paraprofessional Certification Requirements for Zen Educate Employees

Zen Educate connects passionate educators with schools where they can make a real impact.

To move forward in your career with us in Arizona, you'll need Paraprofessional Certification if you haven't received 60 semester college credits (not trade-specific). The certification requires a proficiency assessment in reading, writing, and math.

We focus on the ACT WorkKeys test and provide resources to help you upskill.


🧩 Test Overview

Under ACT WorkKeys, there are three tests that are required to be completed. The subjects of the tests include: Applied Math, Graphic Literacy and Workplace Documents. Each test has anywhere from 34-38 questions to be completed in the time allotted. Important: You must score at least a "3" on every section of the test to be considered passing.

With Zen Educate, you have the option of taking the test remotely or in person, based on the testing environment you prefer!

  • πŸ“ŒTest Location: Glendale, AZ - Exact location to be confirmed once registered
  • ⏲️Test Times: You can start the exam anytime between 8:15am - 12:30pm 
  • πŸ“Test Scores: Score sheets given to you same day to be uploaded to your profile

  • πŸ“ŒTest Location: Remote (Quiet space and laptop or computer required) 
  • ⏲️Test Times: A variety of timeslots offered throughout the day 
  • πŸ“Test Scores: Scores shared after 72 hours of completing your final test
