Arizona:🧾 Level 1 IVP Application Process

As part of Zen Educate’s verification process in Arizona, we require a Level 1 IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card to ensure we are putting forth high-quality, safe educators. 

🪪 What is a Level 1 IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card?

A Level 1 IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card is a document that indicates a comprehensive background check is required for professions working with children and vulnerable populations. 

⚙️ Process Overview

1. Create an account at the Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZ DPS)
2. Complete Level 1 IVP Fingerprint Card Application
3. Notify your recruiter of completed application and await payment confirmation 
4. Schedule your fingerprint collection appointment 
5. Attend your fingerprint collection appointment 
6. Receive your results 

🧍‍♀️ Creating an Account

• Go to the Arizona Department of Public Safety website and select Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Choose ‘Individual’ account
• Enter your personal information accurately 
• Verify your current mailing address 
• Verify your account via email confirmation 

🖊️ Complete Level 1 IVP Fingerprint Application

• Select ‘Apply for Card / Request a Replacement’
• Apply for a new IVP card, request a replacement, or renew if expired
• Choose ‘IVP Clearance Card’

✅ Reasons for Applying (Select ALL FOUR):

• 📚 State Board of Education (Teacher or Other Certification) – ARS 15-534
• 🧑‍🏫 Tutor or Teacher Preparation Programs – ARS 15-534
• 🏫 Public and/or Charter School Non-Certified Personnel – ARS 15-512
• 🧰 Public and/or Charter School Contractor, Subcontractor, or Vendor and their Employees – ARS 15-512

👉 Select ‘Employee’

👉 “Other Reasons for Applying?” → No

• Add personal information
• Add Employer Information (found in your Conditional Offer email)
• Read Privacy Statement & add your signature
• Add Employer Payment Information & select Request Employer Pay (details in your Conditional Offer email)

✅ Confirm Your Application

Notify your Zen Educate recruiter once your IVP application is complete.

Our team will process the payment after you’ve completed your Verification Video Call. 

🗓️ Schedule Your Fingerprint Collection Appointment

• Look for an email titled ‘New Message from AZ DPS’
• Open the message ‘ACTION NEEDED - Application Pending Fingerprints’

Go to 👉 https://arizona.fieldprint.com

⚠️ Important: Sign up at Fieldprint Arizona, NOT Fieldprint USA

• Scroll past “Don’t have a Fieldprint Code?”
• Choose Fingerprint Clearance Card → Continue with this Reason
• Your Reference Number = “IVPP######” (from your email)
• Enter personal info exactly as in your IVP application

💵 Cost: $8.25 — keep a screenshot or digital receipt for reimbursement after 5 workdays with Zen Educate.

🪪 Bring photo ID to your appointment!

⏳ After Your Fingerprint Collection

Processing can take a few days up to one month. Your recruiter will check your card’s status and notify you of the results.

Once cleared, your physical Level 1 IVP Card will arrive by mail (this may take a few weeks).

Zen Educate does NOT require the physical card, only a cleared IVP status, which can be verified online.
