Active vs. Inactive Employee
ACTIVE EMPLOYEE 🟢
An active employee is somebody who is employed and not resigned and/or has not been terminated. An active employee also follows at least 1 of the requirements below:
- has worked a minimum of 5 hours within the past 90 days
- Has a booked role lined up within the next 30 days
- Is on approved leave, please see Sick Leave and Time Off for more on this
- During the summer season, which would be June, July and August, active employees can confirm their status by getting booked into roles for the upcoming school year
INACTIVE EMPLOYEE ⏳
Employees become inactive if they have abandoned and/or resigned from their employment voluntarily.
Employees who are considered inactive will receive a separation notice, be removed from Zen's payroll as well and lose access to available jobs on our platform. Full-time employees will no longer have access to health benefits and will receive a COBRA notice.
In both scenarios above, if you are in good standing with Zen, we would love to still have you working with us again! We encourage employees to re-engage by calling their previous school manager or contacting our Support team directly on ☎️ 213 516 6054 or email us at 💌 help@zeneducate.com.
