Active vs. Inactive Employee

ACTIVE EMPLOYEE 🟢

An active employee is somebody who is employed and not resigned and/or has not been terminated. An active employee also follows at least 1 of the requirements below:

  • has worked a minimum of 5 hours within the past 90 days
  • Has a booked role lined up within the next 30 days
  • Is on approved leave, please see Sick Leave and Time Off for more on this
  • During the summer season, which would be June, July and August, active employees can confirm their status by getting booked into roles for the upcoming school year

INACTIVE EMPLOYEE

Employees become inactive if they have abandoned and/or resigned from their employment voluntarily.

Employees who are considered inactive will receive a separation notice, be removed from Zen's payroll as well and lose access to available jobs on our platform. Full-time employees will no longer have access to health benefits and will receive a COBRA notice.

In both scenarios above, if you are in good standing with Zen, we would love to still have you working with us again! We encourage employees to re-engage by calling their previous school manager or contacting our Support team directly on ☎️ 213 516 6054 or email us at 💌 help@zeneducate.com.
