Leaving Zen

Ending a Specific Assignment

Should an Educator decide to end a specific School assignment but remain as an Educator with Zen, the Educator should contact their Account Manager or the Zen Support Team at 213-516-6054 or email help@zeneducate.com, 5 days before ending the assignment; or, at the earliest possible moment. Until they have spoken to their Account Manager and confirmed that their assignment has been updated, they should continue to show up for work shifts.

Pausing Your Profile

If you are unable to actively work, we recommend reaching out to our Zen Support Team to put a pause on your profile. We will provide you with a Separation Notice if you are inactive or pause your account for longer than 60 days. However, if you are an employee in good standing, we would love to have you back! When you are ready to actively pick up assignments, please reach back out to your Account Manager or the Zen Support Team at 213-516-6054 to get you started on re-onboarding.

See here for more information on active and inactive classifications: General Information

Notice of Resignation

Should an employee decide to end their employment with Zen, the employee should provide a written resignation letter. Resignations should be emailed to both their Account Manager and the Zen Support Team at help@zeneducate.com. The email subject should include “[your name] - Resignation Letter”, and the message body should indicate your name and your intended last day of work.

Nothing in this policy alters the Employment At-Will Policy in this Handbook.

Profile Deletion Requests

After you leave, Zen is required by state and federal laws to retain certain employee history and wage information. Therefore, certain requests by former employees to delete profiles cannot be fulfilled. However, your account will be deactivated so you will not receive emails or texts.

If you would like to delete your profile because you are unable to actively work, we recommend pausing your account instead. Should you choose to return, your information is saved, and re-onboarding will continue from where you last left off.
